SMALL SIDED GAME referee COURSE

The Small Sided Game Course is for those who would like to become an accredited match official on 7v7 games and are 12 years of age (by March 31st of the current year) or older. Successful graduates are automatically registered with Ontario Soccer and do not have to register again until the following year.

SMALL SIDED Assistant Referee COURSE

The Small Sided Assistant Referee (AR) Course is for those who are currently an accredited Small Sided match official and are 13 years of age (by March 31st of the current year) or older. This course will enable Small Sided referees to officiate as an Assistant Referee during 9 v9 days. Successful graduates are automatically registered with Ontario Soccer and do not have to register again until the following year.

ENTRY LEVEL COURSE

The Entry Level Match Official Clinic is for those who would like to become an accredited match official for 9v9 and 11v11 games and are 14 years of age (by March 31st of the current year) and older. Successful graduates are automatically registered with Ontario Soccer and do not have to register again until the following year.

Please note: if you are upgrading from Small Sided to Entry Level, a new account must be generated from the course registration page. It’s important to keep note of your new login information when creating your account as it will be the primary information to access your profile.

This certification applies to all Match Officials grade 4-10 and Grade 1 Officials over the age of 16.

Become a Match Official

Ontario Soccer has significantly changed the new Match Official accreditation management process

All students register with and pay Ontario Soccer directly.
Students will be required to select a Club/District/Academy when they register.

Each student must:

Complete a number of self guided modules on Law
Attend a mandatory webinar
Small Sided – All Law Review
Entry Level – Laws 11 and 12
Pass the exam
Attend a practical session
Pass a signals test

Respect In Sport - Match Officials Gr. 4-10

This certification applies to all Match Officials grade 4-10 and Grade 1 Officials over the age of 16, and is good for 5 years. Offered by Respect Group.

Remuneration

Rockwood FC bases referee remuneration on District and Regional guidelines.

The amounts shown are on a "per game" basis and are subject to change at any time.

Per District guidelines, fees will be adjusted based on number of Match Officials at a game.

Match official fees for a combined age group will be the fees set per the oldest age group in the division.

For example - Officiating a U16-U18 game would pay per the U18 fee schedule
