RFC VOLUNTEERS – HELP WANTED
KEY INFORMATION
My name is Stephen Pullen and I have been a volunteer for Rockwood FC for 9 years (ever since my wife and I moved to Rockwood). My daughter (Kim Ripley) has been a volunteer for 15 years. I started as the House League Sponsor Coordinator, then added Treasurer/Executive member and Concession Stand as additional roles.
Would you believe that, in total, we need 111 volunteers to help run RFC smoothly, efficiently and effectively.
The purpose of this communication is twofold:
- Rockwood FC needs Executive volunteers. The Executive needs at least a Secretary and 2 Directors, and possibly a Treasurer back-up. Current Executive members wear more than one hat and fulfil a variety of roles. Rockwood FC needs volunteers who want to help RFC in preparing for, developing and managing the future of RFC. Meetings are usually every 6 weeks reviewing the club’s activities and discussing tasks/activities to be completed to keep the Club going. Teamwork and good management skills are important as well as a commitment to the long term success of RFC.
- Rockwood FC needs volunteers in operational positions that ensure the Club runs smoothly throughout the year. Of particular note are House League coaches – always critical – along with House League Convenors who are really important as they drive the process to get team coaches. Most of these positions are not time consuming and are only required at certain times of the year.
Attached is a volunteer position summary which shows how many volunteers Rockwood FC requires for each position to operate.
If you are a current volunteer, it would be great if you could let us know if you are willing to return and/or continue in that volunteer position (including coaching a team).
We recognize that everyone leads busy lives but please look over the positions and let us know which one(s) you believe you can do that allows RFC to continue to offer a great soccer experience for all.
