NOTE: There is no program on August long weekend. Program start and end dates may be affected by Covid restrictions. All registrants will be contacted and offered a choice of time slot in order of date of registration

Session #2 was changed from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning by popular demand.



Teams practise and play on the same day.

Practice time/skills development –  all players have a ball supplied for practice.  RFC Technical Director, former pro Aaron ‘AZZA’ Kerr,  has designed a training program  that will introduce them to basic soccer and physical literacy concepts – parents are always welcome to participate! Session are led by professional coaches. Our coach volunteers participate in working with their teams.

Long Term Player Development, U4 play 3v3 with no goal keeper-meaning more playing time, more ‘touches’ for each player with the ball during a game atmosphere.   We do not keep scores – the players are all encouraged to have fun and the only rules  enforced are which direction to run and reminders of “feet only”.

Each player will be placed on a team with two coach volunteers, depending on numbers.  Each week after the practice portion, they will participate in a game against another team from the same age group.

By implementing the LTPD philosophy, supported by good coaching methodology, players will benefit from and enjoy practice sessions more. All sessions will focus on player development in a low stress, supportive, positive, fun‐filled and safe environment.

During the practices, players will spend an allotted time at each station having fun, being introduced to and developing specific skills and qualities before moving onto the next station. By using station work, we create an environment where players are continually motivated and that they are continually challenged.

All sessions take a holistic approach to developing our young athletes focusing on the Four Corner LTPD model which consists of technical, psychological, physical and social/emotional components. The Four Corner approach places the player at the center of the development process with soccer experiences that meet the four key needs of the player.

Medical Form

Each player needs a medical form on file in case of emergencies.

Photo Day

Each registered player will receive one free team and one free individual photo. Picture Day is in June and you will receive a schedule on the first day.  The schedule will also be posted on the website.  Please note there are no retake or alternate days.

Weather Policy

Our soccer program runs rain or shine. The only time soccer is cancelled is if there is lightening/thunderstorms. Please check the home page of the website, your email and club social media for up to date cancellations and field closures. When faced with  heat alerts, our Coaches will have the players take more frequent breaks to ensure that they stay properly hydrated. Please always make sure your player has water at the fields. If you forget your water bottle, the concession is usually open.

Parental Supervision

This age group requires that a parent/guardian MUST be on-site (i.e. at the field) each week. Should you need to leave the area (i.e. take another child to the bathroom, run to your car etc) please ensure that you designate another parent (not one of your coaches) to keep an eye on your player. Our coaches’ responsibility is to ensure that each player has a great time at both the practice and game – they are not babysitters.


Registration includes a full soccer uniform – team jersey, shorts and socks . Uniforms  will be handed out on the first day when players will meet their coaches and participate in an abbreviated program.


Shin guards are mandatory equipment for your player. Please ensure that you have them with you each week – as your player will not be allowed to participate if they do not have them. Players must wear running shoes or soccer cleats.  Soccer cleats are optional for U4.


For safety,  all jewelry, with the exception of medical alert bracelets and necklaces, must be removed prior to soccer, including piercings. Activity Trackers or ‘Fit Bits’ may not be worn.
